The Amelia McGuiness Time Trial - August 21 @Perisher
The Amelia McGuiness Australian Snowsports Development Foundation (AMASDF) was established in memory of Amelia McGuiness who tragically died in a skiing accident in 2009.
All monies raised are distributed to our emerging athletes via the Amelia McGuiness Scholarship, which opens in early October each year. This scholarship is dedicated to providing practical support (for equipment, training, and resources), to up-and-coming winter snowsports athletes from the age of 10 to 19 years old, across all disciplines including disabled snowsports.
The Amelia McGuiness Time Trial is an Alpine and Snowboard GS event, and is the largest fundraiser for the foundation. The Time Trial is a perfect opportunity to practice your racing before the NSW State Interschools Championships.
In 2017, online registrations for the Amelia McGuiness Time Trial will be available via the Interschools Online Entry System as a separate event. Schools Coordinators will be required to enter participants for this event, and will be responsible for looking after the schools tax invoice.
For the first time, schools can enter teams as well as individuals. Results will be posted online, there will be no presentations or medals. This fundraising event will only be open for school-aged participants, and will no longer have an open category. The Amelia McGuiness Time Trial will be only open to 250 competitors.
