Travelplan Ski Northern NSW & QLD Championships

The Race Schedule has been updated July 10 with the following changes:
- Snowboard Cross Div 4 & 5 has a course change to High Noon Ridercross course (from Playground Ridercross course) with the same time - 12.30pm - 12.45pm Inspection with a 1.00pm race start.
- Skier Cross Div 6 Female can access the Gunbarrel chair from 8.15am on July 11 to help get participants to course inspection on time.

Volunteer Check In
All Volunteer Course Officials are to check into the Interschools Race Desk at the Thredbo Valley Terminal between 7.15am to 9.00am on the day, to meet the Chief of Course at the top of the course 15 minutes prior to the inspection time.
Volunteer Course Officials Lift Tickets
Volunteers are entitled to a free of charge lift ticket on the day they are volunteering. This lift ticket can only be used by the Course Official if they do not already have a lift pass or season pass. Course Official lift tickets are at the Interschools Race Desk at the Thredbo Valley Terminal when you check in (as above).
Course Officials Guidelines & Training
It is very important that Volunteers understand the various Course Officials positions undertaken at Interschools events before they volunteer. We recommend that all Volunteers read the Course Official Guidelines and/or attend a Course Official Training on Monday 9 July 3.30pm - 4.30pm at the Townsend Room, Thredbo Alpine Hotel.
What happens if you can no longer volunteer?
In the event that you cannot fulfil your volunteer course official’s position your school must provide a replacement for you to fulfil your role.

PLEASE NOTE that times specified by the electronic clocks and live timing are indicative only, and do not represent the actual times in all circumstances.

Participants 17 years and under
For Lift Tickets for event days at Thredbo for participants 17 years and under, the best option is to go online and purchase early for the best discounts – this will be a lot cheaper than purchasing lift tickets on the day at the resort. https://www.thredbo.com.au/passes-rentals/lift-passes/
Team Managers and Participants 18 years and older
Team Managers and Competitors 18 years and older are eligible for discounted lift tickets on the day of an event and passes for the date of events are available for collection from any Guest services Office: Valley Terminal, Friday Flat, Jindabyne.
For Team Managers to receive a discounted lift ticket, their name must be assigned to the team/individual they are looking after when entries are completed in the online entry system. No changes or additions of team manager names will be accepted after the close of entries date. Team Manager changes cannot be made at the resort.

The Start Lists are available HERE. We encourage everyone to check that they have been entered into their qualified events and are entered into the correct division.
Race Bib Collection is on Monday July 9 at 3.00-4.30pm at the Interschools Race Office located at the Thredbo Valley Terminal, outside the ticket office.
Race bibs can only be collected as a whole from the school coordinator or their representative. If you cannot collect the bibs then, they can collected on the first day that the school competes. Race Bibs will only be given to schools that have completed all participant and volunteer waivers, have registered all volunteers, and have made their payment.
Course Officials Guidelines & Briefings

Interschools is holding a course officials briefing to go though how to perform the volunteer roles and an opportunity to ask any questions;

Course Official Check In
All Volunteers must check in at the Race Office before making their way to the top of the course for the course inspection time. The Interschools Race Office at Thredbo is located at the Thredbo Valley Terminal, outside the ticket office. You must check into the Interschools Race Office between 7.15am - 9.00am each day.
When you check in you will be given a folder, officials vest and an option to take a bottle of water and snack pack. Please bring a backpack to put these in. After you have finished your volunteers duties on course you will need to make sure that the folder and vest is returned to Interschools.
What Happens if I can no longer Volunteer?
In the event that you cannot fulfil your volunteer course official’s position please make an attempt to replace yourself with another person from your school. If you find a replacement, please make sure that they are either aware of what duties they are fulfilling as course official or that they have read the course official guidelines. If you are not able to find a replacement for yourself, please let Interschools know as soon as possible.
Please be prepared for all weather conditions when you are volunteering on our courses and make sure you have clothing options for all conditions!
Gate keepers can be the most exposed to the elements and will be standing or sitting down for the duration of the course. You will be required to write notes in this position so please bring either inner gloves or similar that you can write with.

Event information updates will be sent to coordinators, via SMS, when required. If you are not a school coordinator but wish to receive these updates during the Interschools Snowsports Championships, please call (03) 9948 4024 from your mobile phone. By calling this number, the mobile you called from will automatically receive SMS updates.
If you are a school coordinator, please make sure your mobile number is correct in the online entry system under the "school details" page.
The cost per SMS received will be $0.55. To un-register (once you have registered) simply call the same number (03) 9948 4024 from your phone.
As per Rule 2.10: No changes to the names or order of competitors will be accepted after the entry closing date. Substitutions may be considered on account only on illness or injury, medical certificates may be requested. Any changes must be submitted by a School Coordinator or their delegate through the official ‘Change of Competitor Form’ by 3.00pm the day before the event. Changes are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of the NSW Interschools Committee. Changes to teams will be restricted to direct team member substitutions only. Team changes can only be made to competitors who are already entered in other disciplines at the Championships. Original race bibs must be worn when team changes have been made, except in cases when competitors were not originally entered into the discipline. If a competitor fails to race in their correct race bib after a team change, rule 2.12 will apply.
